ADHD in Practice: Treatment and Management for Family Physicians

August 26, 2026 | 8:00 am to 9:00 am

Family physicians may face uncertainty when initiating and managing treatment for ADHD, particularly in the presence of co‑morbid psychiatric conditions and limited access to specialist care. This session will focus on practical, evidence‑informed approaches to ADHD management. Speakers will share strategies to build confidence in prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting treatment, with an emphasis on real‑world challenges and care pathways. Participants will leave with greater clarity on how to support patients with ADHD and reduce gaps in access to appropriate care.

The Practising Well Community of Practice has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+Ⓡcredits.
