ADHD in Primary Care: Meeting Growing Demand with Practical Tools
July 22, 2026 | 8:00 am to 9:00 am
Demand for ADHD diagnosis and support is increasing, while access to psychiatric assessment and ongoing care remains limited, particularly for youth and adults who may be excluded by cost or availability of private options. In this session, our panel will support family physicians in recognizing ADHD across the lifespan, identifying common co‑morbidities, and understanding their role in assessment and early management. Panelists will discuss practical approaches to diagnosis, available pathways for patient support, and how to navigate gaps in the system. Treatment options will be explored in the second part of the session taking place in August.
The Practising Well Community of Practice has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+Ⓡcredits.
