Breakfast Series on Innovative Approaches to Optimizing Teams: Integrating Clinical Support into Everyday Practice

November 17, 2026 | 8:00 am to 9:00 am

The Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) has launched a new, six-part virtual Breakfast Series on Integrating Clinical Support into Everyday Practice, designed to showcase practical, real-world experiences from family physicians in different team settings across the province.

Delegation works best when team members have clarity about their roles, responsibilities, decision-making authority, and when to involve others. In this session, we’ll explore how practices can create the conditions for team members to work to their full scope while reducing unnecessary demands on family physicians.

Our panel will share practical insights and experiences from implementing team-based approaches in primary care, including lessons learned, challenges encountered, and strategies that have helped teams adapt and evolve over time. Together, we’ll explore how thoughtful role design, clear processes, and strong collaboration can support both team effectiveness and physician capacity..

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 12 Mainpro+ credits.
