Patient Recognition for Outstanding Care

Essential to the Health of Ontarians

Life with a family doctor means access to comprehensive care for Ontarians and their loved ones.

A white tile with a pink watercolour mark with a quote from a patient in Sault Ste. Marie that reads,"My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Culina’s for a few years now.  She is very compassionate and diligent.  As we are getting older, and our medical needs are changing, it’s nice to know she is there for us."
A white tile with a green watercolour mark with a quote from a patient in Kitchener that reads, "Our family doctor, Dr. Reaume saved our daughter’s life. She suffers from multiple mental health disorders and he has never given up on her."
A white tile with a yellow watercolour mark with a quote from a patient in Guelph that reads, "As my mother's primary caregiver, I don't think I could have made it without Dr. Merbaum's assistance and recommendations.
He is one of the very few people in the world that I trust. "

Many patients told us how their family physician saved their life.

By ordering the right tests, taking immediate action, or providing compassionate care through a mental health crisis, they helped patients and their loved ones avoid critical illness or death.

Some patients have had their family physician for 20, 30, even 40 years.

Their family physician feels like part of their own family, often caring for multiple generations – from grandparents to grandchildren. Many seniors told us they are thriving thanks to their family physician’s care.

We want to hear from you!

Tell us about the positive impact your family physician has had on your health, the health of your family and your life. Based on your submission, the Ontario College of Family Physicians may send your family physician a certificate of recognition.

Advocate for family medicine

Throughout this campaign, we have also heard from people across Ontario who do not have a family doctor – and want one. We are calling on Ontarians without a family doctor to sign up for our mailing list to support future advocacy efforts.
