Mr. Bruce Squires
Mr. Bruce Squires is a graduate of the economics program at Mount Allison University and went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at Dalhousie University following his undergraduate studies. Currently, Mr. Squires is a PhD candidate at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. A highly experienced leader, Mr. Squires first began working in the health sector in 1992 as the Director of Health Policy for the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association prior to leading the organization as its Executive Director. Since moving to Ontario in 2001, Mr. Squires has held various leadership roles in the sector, including CEO of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, Vice President, Corporate Affairs of the Canadian Medical Association, and Vice President, People, Strategy, and Performance at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. In addition to his current post as a board member of the OCFP, Mr. Squires has held member, co-chair, chair, and director positions within organizational, regional, provincial and national organizations, including OHTs and various task forces. Currently, Mr. Squires is President of McMaster Children’s Hospital and Vice President, Women’s and Children’s Health at Hamilton Health Sciences, while continuing to serve on several boards, including as the board chair of Children’s Healthcare Canada.
