Deepy Sur

Deepy assumed the role of CEO in May 2024. She is passionate about member-driven work and has been a leader in building provincial education programs that increase engagement and enhance member value. She brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, meaningful equity integration and public campaigning. Deepy is dedicated to health system designs that provide high-quality care to individuals and communities. As a collaborative leader, she has worked with government to establish groundbreaking changes in the health, mental health and well-being of Ontarians. She is most inspired by innovation, transformation and value-driven solutions.

Deepy holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in Social Work. Her research interests include advancing equity, leadership, workplace wellness, and empathy-centered care in interprofessional teams.

In her previous roles, she served as CEO at the Ontario Association of Social Workers, Director of Integration at Toronto Central LHIN, held various leadership roles at Trillium Health Partners and was a faculty member with McMaster University and the Medical Psychiatry Alliance.
