Ministry of Health Calling on Health System Partners to Help Prevent the Spread of Measles

As the Pan-American Health Organization warns of an increasing risk of measles in the Americas and globally and increased travel anticipated for March Break, the Ministry of Health and the Chief Medical Officer of Health have released a memo calling on health system partners to support the health of patients and our communities in the following ways:
- Support their patients in remaining up to date with all routine vaccinations (including measles), especially in advance of any upcoming travel
- Inform their patients to report vaccines received to their local public health unit
- Include measles in their differential diagnoses, especially in those who have traveled
