Resources
- Ontario Renal Network is transitioning to use the new race free Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration (CKD-EPI) 2021 equation to calculate estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Read clinician resource and patient resource.
- New tools for improving the prevention, assessment and management of patients with Chronic Non-Cancer Pain in primary care are available from CEP. Access Best Practices and Telus PS Suite EMR toolkit on the Chronic Non-Cancer Pain topic tool page.
Surveys
- Researchers at the University of Toronto have partnered with Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to better understand primary care providers’ perspectives in the transition of post-treatment cancer survivors from the cancer system to primary care. The information you provide will be used to identify and develop communication tools and resources to support patients and their PCPs during the transition to follow-up care. Please complete this 5-10 minute online survey here.
- Complete a 15-minute survey about your experience with antibiotics. The first 300 participants will receive a $10 electronic coffee gift card. There are two surveys available, one for patients and one for healthcare professionals.
- Many Canadians do not receive adequate physician and nurse practitioner(NP) home visits near the end of life. The Bruyère Research Institute aims to better understand factors that may be preventing or facilitating physicians’ and NPs’ willingness to provide palliative home visits for adult patients in their last year of life through a study. Family physicians who do and do not provide home visits for adult patients (aged 18+), and are fluent in English, are invited to complete a 15-20 minute online survey here.
- Take part in a three to five-minute, anonymous survey developed by the Infant and Early Mental Health Promotion at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), which will inform the development of future infant and early mental health offerings.
Studies
- Participate in a University of Ottawa study led by Dr. Giorgia Sulis that focuses on family doctors’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and pneumococcal vaccinations for older adults in Ontario and aims to identify barriers to vaccine uptake and improve vaccination rates. To participate in the 10-miniute online survey, or learn more about the project click here.
- Join the Dalla Lana School of Public Health’s study that aims to improve family medicine residency. For more information, please contact Dr. Monica Aggarwal.
- Researchers from the Computational Health and Interaction (CHAI) Lab at the University of Toronto are conducting a study on the impact of AI scribes on primary care practices. Learn more here.
Volunteer
